Spoločná medzinárodná výskumná mobilita
Cameroon | September 21- 28, 2025
This research mobility initiative aimed to facilitate collaborative knowledge exchange, data collection, and curriculum analysis to evaluate current educational frameworks in Cameroon between 21st and 27th September 2025. The program brought together researchers from each partner country, who participated in a series of structured activities over five days in Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon, including site visits, focus groups, interviews, and workshops.
Through these activities, researchers examined existing curricula in Sustainable Forest Management and Reforestation across EU and SSA countries, identified knowledge and skills gaps among learners and VET centres in SSA, and mapped current levels of public–private cooperation. Focus groups and stakeholder engagements provided in-depth insights on curriculum relevance, local challenges, and opportunities for improving vocational training and sustainable reforestation practices.
The agenda included orientation and context briefings at IBAYSUP, field visits to the Dja Forest Reserve and local reforestation sites, cultural exchanges with local communities, and validation sessions for findings. This structure enabled participants to combine practical, cultural, and policy perspectives, fostering innovation, strengthening institutional partnerships, and supporting sustainable educational reform and tailored training module development.
